The program 'Hanoi Tourism Welcomes 2025 -
Get on Hanoi 2025' is the first activity in a series of over 60 exciting and
attractive events, festivals, and tourism promotion programs in the capital city
this year.
The program is an opportunity for the Hanoi capital's tourism industry to
continue to communicate and promote the image of Hanoi as a "Safe - Friendly -
Quality - Attractive" destination to attract more tourists to Hanoi,
contributing positively to the development of Vietnam's tourism and the
socio-economic development of the city.
According to Hanoi Department of Tourism, in recent times, the Department has
accompanied and supported districts, businesses, organizations and individuals
operating in tourism to build and develop many new and attractive tourism
products that have been widely welcomed by tourists.
Typical are the southern Hanoi tourist route with the theme "South Thang Long -
Hanoi Heritage Road - A place to return to the roots"; Tong Duy Tan culinary
street, Hoan Kiem district; Nguyen Van Tuyet culinary street, Dong Da district;
Ngu Xa culinary street, Ba Dinh district; Mien village community tourism
destination, Ba Vi commune, Ba Vi district; Tich Giang rural tourism
destination, Phuc Tho district; Hong Van tourist village, Thuong Tin district,
experiential tourism products associated with heritage - relic values at Ha Mo
tourist destination, Dan Phuong district;...
Most recently, the Hanoi People's Committee recognized the Hai Ba Trung Temple,
Pagoda and Communal House Complex as a special national relic site; thereby
creating a new step forward and driving force in the journey of building and
developing this relic complex into a "Safe, civilized and friendly destination"
and a unique and typical tourism product of the capital.
In 2024, tourism continued to play a role as a major economic sector of the
capital with strong growth in both quality and quantity. The total number of
tourists to Hanoi will reach 27.88 million, an increase of 12.7% compared to
2023, including 6.37 million international visitors, an increase of 34.8%; total
revenue from tourists will reach about 110.66 trillion VND, an increase of 18.5%
compared to 2023.
By 2025, Hanoi aims to welcome 31 million tourists, an increase of 11.2%
compared to 2024, including 7.5 million international visitors; total revenue
from tourists will reach about 130 trillion VND, an increase of 17.5% compared
to 2024.
The program "Hanoi Tourism Welcomes 2025 - Get on Hanoi 2025" is the opening
event for over 60 series of cultural, festival and tourism activities in 2025 of
districts, townships in Hanoi, such as: Ceremony to announce Kim Lan Pottery
Craft - National Intangible Cultural Heritage, Announcement of Kim Lan Tourist
Destination, Gia Lam District; Thay Pagoda Festival, Cultural Tourism and Trade
Promotion Week of Quoc Oai District; Experience of flower growing village
tourism in Me Linh District... contributing to widely promoting the image of
Hanoi Capital to domestic and international friends.
